Cookie policy

This site sets no cookies of its own. The spam check on the contact page does. Here's exactly what is set, and by whom.

About cookies

Cookies are small pieces of text that are stored by your browser. Each cookie has a name and is associated with a particular site. When your browser sends a request to a site (for example, to download a page, image, or video), the computer that responds (known as a server) may tell your browser to set one or more cookies. When your browser makes further requests to the same site it sends the cookies back to the server. This allows the server to remember you as you browse the site.

Cookies set by this site

None. This website is a set of static files. It does not set any first-party cookies, it does not use analytics, and it does not track you between visits.

Cookies set by the spam check

The contact form on our home page is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which asks you to tick an “I’m not a robot” box. This is the one part of the site that does set cookies. reCAPTCHA loads on the home page only, and it loads as soon as that page opens rather than waiting until you use the form.

Google uses these cookies, together with information about your browser and how you interact with the page, to judge whether you are a person or an automated script. We do not have access to that information and we do not use it for any other purpose. For details of what Google collects and why, see Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.

If you block these cookies the form will tell you that the spam check could not load, and will give you a telephone number instead. The rest of the site works normally.

Third-party connections

Viewing the site causes your browser to connect to a small number of third parties. Those third parties may set their own cookies or otherwise process data, governed by their own policies.

google.com/recaptcha
The spam check on the contact form, as described above. Loaded on the home page. Sets cookies and processes your IP address and interaction data. See Google’s privacy policy.
fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com
Google Fonts serves the typeface used across the site. Google states that the Fonts API does not set cookies, but your IP address is processed in order to serve the font files. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
google.com/maps
The map on the contact section is an embedded Google Map, loaded only when you scroll to it. Google may set cookies when this loads. See Google's privacy policy.
formspree.io
Contacted only at the moment you submit the contact form. It processes the details you typed in order to email them to the practice. See Formspree's privacy policy.

Managing cookies

You can block all cookies through your browser settings (see the instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge). Blocking cookies will not stop most of this site working. The embedded map and the contact form’s spam check may be affected; if the spam check cannot run, please telephone the practice instead.
